Bethalto school board and administrators cut the ribbon celebrating recent improvements to Trimpe Middle School

On August 29, 2024, the Bethalto School Board and administrators celebrated recent improvements to Trimpe Middle School with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Superintendent Jill Griffin said:

"Ladies and gentlemen, faculty, students, and Board of Education members, thank you all for joining us today for this momentous occasion - the ribbon cutting ceremony for our recently updated middle school.

As we gather here, surrounded by the energy and enthusiasm of our dedicated stakeholders, it is clear that this institution is not just a building, but a vibrant community of learning, growth, and support.

With these newly renovated facilities, we are not just investing in infrastructure, but in the future of the students we serve. These walls will witness countless moments of discovery, collaboration, and achievement. They will be the backdrop for friendships forged, challenges overcome, and dreams pursued.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have made this project possible - from the construction workers who took one of the oldest buildings in our district and helped breath school pride and passion back into the halls and classrooms..... to the teachers and staff who work tirelessly to create an enriching environment for our students. It truly takes a village to educate and empower our youth, and I am proud to be part of such a dedicated and passionate community.

As we cut this ribbon and officially open the doors to Trimpe Middle School, let us remember the potential and promise that lies within these halls. May we continue to inspire, support, and nurture the young minds that will shape our future.

Thank you all for being here today, and let us celebrate this milestone with joy, optimism, and a renewed sense of purpose. Together, we can create a brighter tomorrow for all those who walk through these doors. Thank you."

"I am delighted to talk about the exciting changes we've made here at Trimpe Middle School-changes that are already making a big difference for our students and staff.

First, you'll notice the fresh paint throughout our school. This isn't just about looking good; it's about creating a vibrant, positive environment where everyone feels motivated and inspired. The new colors are a reflection of the energy and creativity we value in our school community.

Our lockers have also been given a fresh coat of purple paint, symbolizing our school pride. Every time students open their lockers, it's a reminder that they are part of something special—a community that supports and believes in them.

The new tile floors not only look fantastic but also make our school safer and easier to maintain. It's another step toward ensuring that our school is a clean, welcoming place where everyone can focus on learning.

And finally, the new HVAC units are a significant improvement. They'll keep our classrooms comfortable year-round, allowing students and teachers to concentrate on what truly matters-learning and growing together.

These renovations are more than just updates to our building; they are investments in a positive learning environment. They show that we care about the spaces where our students learn and our staff work, and that we are committed to providing the best possible atmosphere for success.

Thank you all for being a part of this journey as we continue to make Trimpe Middle School a place where every student can thrive.

Thank you"
